Singapore Bling
It has been interesting this year to experience a tropical Christmas. In some ways it has been good to escape Tesco starting their Christmas playlist in late July, and the Kerry Katona adverts for frozen bits of oddly shaped crap, but in other ways I have to say Singapore hasn’t quite lived up to Blighty for that quintessential Christmas experience.

Christmas in Singapore
I’m currently sitting at home looking out of the window, watching the December rain soak the city. Not so unusual for a December lunchtime you might think, until I remember that I’m in Singapore. However the rain makes it feel like home, there’s something wrong with Christmas in Singapore. Something very wrong indeed.

When you’re in a new culture, things change. You get used to the sweltering weather, walking to work and wearing shorts/dressing like a six year old all the time. It’s expected. Black Eyed Peas Featuring Click Five
Singapore may not exactly be on the world tour circuit for many bands, but every now and then a ‘big name’ will visit during a rapid race through Asia. Cliff Richard & Westlife were, non-ironically, attended by Jane before we got here and we went to see Christina in June.
